On seperating the sections, did you grove out a tunnel on the lower one?
Looks like you have a slot in the wood piece on top that doesn,t fit the profile of the face frame?
I,m asking because I have a smaller version and want to open it up.
Did it want to rotate when opening?

I did not make a groove on the backside, the driver is flat. A groove at the topside is needed because you remove the wave guides at the front first.
What do you mean with rotating? The only thing I did not anticipate for was the moment the repelling force got zero. The top part fel down and shifted sideways on top of the other part.
