B-B PCM63 Demo Board as DAC...any Mods?

I only know of one design using the YM3623B with an input transformer, though I don't doubt there are others.

Yes, the one that we used to build has one. (Are you surprised?)

Missed this thread first time around........out of town.......

I would use a linear stage ahead of the '3623. Even though it is not in favour, it dumps very little energy back onto the line. Unlike the popular RX chips.........

The only way to reduce the jitter with another clock is to use a secondary PLL. An oscillator by itself is not going to do anything, unless you slave the transport. I believe a guy who sells them was already mentioned.

Turning off the crystal on the RX chip after lock helps some.

Specific Questions:
1. Does anybody have the original ap notes for this demo board, and also for the DF1700 filter chip? They are NOT available on the B-B (now TI) website!

I'm also looking for that app-note...

-and wonder about the pin9 connection, that some use, some don't...

On the PCM63 !

Seems that it is used with most op-amp "I/V" , but not with discrete...

Pins 9 and 10 are the ends of the feedback resistor, it can be used for setting the gain when using an op-amp based I/V.
The appnote is pretty much the same as the diagram at the back of the PCM63 datasheet.
