I have the desire. Top of my list for one of many next projects! I have an unused 5U 400 chassis already but would need to drill it.

One issue is with balanced in only! I don't have any balanced preamps. so I need to find good balanced pre-amp boards that I would implement into a 2U chassis matching the 5U.. This becomes my balanced package I've always wanted..

Once I secure balanced preamp boards and PSU requirements for AX, then I should be ready to order the boards..

I have a few people wanting to buy boards for the aXp-Amp so here is the latest update:-

The original boards were designed on Traxmaker and the 3 proto builds I did were based on the Traxmaker Gerbers. However, Traxmaker Gerber generation ceased to work correctly after about December last year (the .drl files generated are corrupted). Unfortunately, the PCB house I use also ran into the same issue when they tried to read the Getbers, but they have told me they have now recovered the original files - I am assuming they had them stored as a set of Gerbers on their system and they have found them again. So, I am waiting for a small batch of boards to arrive in the next 10 days or so. Once I have confirmed those are ok against my remaining reference board, I can safely say I will be able to supply boards. Apologies for the problems here. I'll be doing a YT video on the amp in a week or two as well to talk about the amp.

Cheers

A

A great pleasure "Bonsai",
I always enjoy your published projects, they are always well-founded, extraordinarily professional and extremely inspiring - there is a lot to learn from you.

Again and again you present interesting solutions to the rest of us ... This new amplifier is a little giant, I like it and the concept.

That's about it!

Regards,
HBt.
