Can radial capacitors be used instead of Axial in speaker crossover.
Radial MKP caps like Vishay, WIMA cost less compared to Axial caps like Mundorf, Solen etc which are bigger in size.

It is now that I am ordering caps for crossover.
I am buying Polypropylene caps for small values and where explicitly mentioned(SB 12.3 speakers). Now there are many types of Radial Caps, what should I look for. Will any Polypropylene cap do or I need to look for anything specific.
DC link film caps, General film caps, AC and Pulse Film Capacitors?
Which brand WIMA, Nichicon, KEMET, EPCOS/TDK radial caps? I am really confused, there are so may different types. Need to buy from Mouser. Any guidance will be much appreciated.

Any metallized polypropylene/polyester caps of 160/250Vdc rating or higher from the above manufacturers including Visaton, Vishay/Roederstein, Solen, ...etc, will do very good.

If buying from Mouser, look for general film capacitors, radial, polypropylene, 160VDC.

I use WIMA pulse capacitors for special duties in power supplies. Having them around, I sometimes add them into crossovers when they are handy. There is no reason not to in this case.
