I have an old Samsung surround sound system.
My question is.
Can I convert the Aux1 input to be permanently live, so it can be used as a MIC input?
I understand I would need a preamp if I wish to use a mic.
The AUX is digitally selected, but surely with a wire and some solder I can bypass the selection process.
TIA

The digital (multiplexer) circuit has to be forced to switch permanently to the aux, but you need a circuit layout to do so. Or you bypass the digital selector (as said) with a wire soldered on the right spots (hoping no other tricks appear), but you need a circuit layout to do so. Either way, you need a circuit layout.
