Its been a few months since your post, but I am also looking for opinions on this software product. Are you now using it, or do you now have an opinion on it? Or anyone else?

autotrax ? read this before you....
I purchase it in Jan and had been using it for more than 7 layouts. My expection is not very high, first I am just a beginner and I don't want to get into it too deep. I just use it for pcb layouts. Functionwise, I think its OK (with that kind of price) but with so many 'free' ware swinging around, it should be more competitive. Of course there is some cons about it but nothing in this world is perfect, right?
The following incident are just reality and I am stating them without putting in any personal feeling (I'll try though difficult to achieve)
1. Right before Easter, I was working on a project and I've spent almost 30 hrs on it. With a mis-click (I still don't know how I screw myself up) the layout just vanish out of my sight : the working area was clean as a virgin and no matter how I tried, my work is gone (I was stupid or reckless enough to save the file). Sitting in front of my computer for almost 5 hr. I finally give up (**** that I don't make backup copies) and asked him (whatever the name is) for help. I wait for like 4-5 days, waiting for the resurrection. But my SOS was never answered and I redo my work. I learn a lesson there (again and again), --- please do backup. Actually I am not expecting any miracle but as least I should get some answers, would you?
2. Just about 5 days ago. I tried to plot the bottom resist layer of my work but it comes out different from what I see when I switch the bottom resist layer on only. This is my first time using the bottom resist layer because I intend to have this piece go commerical but sorry, no through way!!!! I stated my situation and eamil it to them and after a few bounce back and alternative address, I finaly get through but I am still waiting... This time I would have no option except wait and wait cause it no use to redo it.
That's the experience I had with it. I really hope that I just got the wrong email and everything is my mistake.
BTW, if any of you gurus are reading this, can you kindly give me a hand. I am desperate. I don't want to and cannot redo (that would mean using another software) my work (there are 7 of them) again.
