I have a couple of these amps in my shop today. They both have strange looking drive in the power supply. Just wondering if this is normal for this amp. This one was burned up pretty bad. Blown power supply and one channel of the output was shorted. I have repaired both with all new transistors and gate resistors.

The amp powers up with a green light with 70 volts +/-DC rail voltage. My concern is the drive in the power supply. Looks unhealthy to me.

The other amp has a similar drive in the power supply but the complaint with that one is low output and overheating but I’ll get to that one later.

The first picture is the gate drive and the second picture is the drain.
