Here's a link to the Autocostruire PSU in question:

Their suggestion is for a 30-50VA transformer wired up as so:
http://www.autocostruire.com/assistenza/psu-installation.pdf
This means wiring the secondaries in series...So the amperage is effectively half of what you'd get wiring in parallel...So the transformer I bought (rated at 50VA / 15v @ 3.332A) will output +-15v, 0v at 1.6A, right?
Just looking to see if my electronics newbie reasoning is correct. I got on the phone with digikey and ordered what I thought would be the nearly ideal transformer - small toroidal that outputs 15v at 3 amps, whoo-hoo! Oh wait...that's in series...crap...
Am I on the right path here?
(preemptive) Thanks!
