Just bought 1 miniDSP balanced kit + 4x10 plug-in to run Auto-EQ tuning with REW, I have several questions:
I have micro ECM8000 & external soundcard M-Audio MobilePre USB with all cables to connect are both OK or I need other hardware?
The software for Windows XP/Vista I need?
-REW V5
-Adobe Air environment
-Net 3.5 environment
Wich voltage & current draws the miniDSP balanced kit?

hi , do you use the microphone alone with the board or do you need anything else to work with rew ?
i´m not worried about spl level , i only want to check frequency response do i still need the spl meter ?
do you need anything to give ghost power to the microphone ?

Yes you need the SPL meter or REW don't know the level pressure.
Yes a soundcard phantom powered for the micro.

My understanding is that you only need an SPL meter if you want a calibrated absolute SPL level on your FR plots. I accept that most people like this.
The way I do it is just read the FR data as +/- x dB from the peak.
I really don't care what absolute dB level I've measured, what I do care is how many dB is that mid-bass peak above the average.
I enter an educated guess for the SPL cal in REW

in this case a mic , soundboard and rew is enough then ?
The mic will need a phantom power supply - the simplest answer is to use a basic PA mic mixer. Check the REW forum elsewhere for info about this and getting it up and running.
REW forum says REW soft needs a SPL meter (don't needs to be calibrated only is for reference) or you really don't know when see the graphics the differences where to apply the EQ.
NO, you will need a mic preamp with phantom for the mic or a soundcard with mic pre with phantom.
any spl meter will do , one like this ?
