Hey all, have been thinking about this for a while, and now i have decided to go ahead with a 15" lumen labs plan. Just wondering if someone could check out these links and tell me if 1. they are the right products for the prodject, and 2. are they resonably priced. Many thanks. Adzza

With that bulb you are going to want a spherical reflector that focuses the light back through the bulb. The reflector you have listed there is not suitable. Many people use a shiny soup ladle, or on lumen lab the norpro bowl is a popular one. Most spherical reflectors (soup ladle, norpro bulb) decrease the life of your bulb however a cold spherical reflector will help from keep it failing prematurely the life of your bulb.

most of the large format bulbs are that big! - i had a syvlannia 400w lamp and boy that was a big boy, still relitivly small arc tho ~25mm but no way you could get any optics close enough to it to get any more light of it.

Basically its too big to do anything other than the brute force approch.. but this is basically the idea of the lumenlabs plans from what I see but I have not seen the plans myself, when I made up a projector with the syvlannia results were not great(brute force approch) - required alot of gamma adjustment to get things watachable, but lumenlab projectors are certinally producing some nice images, it would seem alot use all the same gear, perhaps a more transparent LCD?
