Okay,

So, I have a Nakamichi PA-1004 that recently bit the dust. But is most likely repairable... however, anyone who knows anything about good amps, knows that it will never be the same as when it was new. so that's the downside...

I posted this because I have an opportunity to buy two amps... Need to pick one.

I have a chance to buy an identical Nakamichi PA-1004 in great condition, and fully functional... or an Audison SR4 for the same price...

I have ZERO experience with Audison amps... Can anyone shed some light on this subject and help me make an educated decision... I don't know which one to go for...

Here's the page for the Audison (there's a much more detailed PDF on there)

Audison SR - SR 4

And here's the page for the Nakamichi

PA-1004

I already know how the Nakamichi sounds from owning one for a couple years now... and it sounds great! No clue what an Audison sounds like but I always hear good stuff.

If it makes any difference, this is going to be running two sets of 6.5 components. One front stage, and rear fill.

EDIT: If anyone has a better suggestion than these two, I'd like to hear it. Looking for similar power range up to 100W RMS @4ohm /chan and price under 250 if possible.

Thanks,

~Aaron
