Audison issues

I have this Audison SRx3 the full range channels make clean audio and the sub channel makes a distinct crackle at the start of each bass note.

I cleaned all the switches and pots and it made no difference. The output transistors checked out fine and the amp doesn't draw excessive current, heat up or blow fuses.

any thoughts on where to go with this one would be appreciated ?

anyone experienced this type of distortion on the bass channel of a multi channel amp before?
