Audison 1.500.2 CE FHS capacitor replacement

Both of these capacitors are bulging at the top and need to be replaced, they are CE FHS 100V 1000uf. I looked for direct replacements however I was not able to find any from mouser or digikey. On Daewoo’s datasheet, http://info.incomp.hu/NETPDF/FHS.pdf ,the features for the FHS series were low esr, low dissipation. I tried finding a similiar capacitor and found the CDE SLPX

Would either of those work well or would you recommend a different one.

Is the capacitor bulging so that you cannot push down on the plastic disc on the top of the cap?

Perry, when I push down there is a gap.

It could be that the cap is perfectly OK and the only thing you're seeing is the shrink-wrap squeezing the plastic disc.

What was the reason you pulled the cover, initially?

Don't power up the amp without tightly clamping all heatsink-mounted semiconductors back down.

I just purchased the amplifier, it’s going to be in a difficult place to remove once it’s in the vehicle, it’s an older amp so I wanted to check and make sure none of the capacitors were going bad in it, that I could see. None of the other capacitors had that bulge, except those two. I thought they needed to be replaced, I’m glad they don’t. I won’t power it on untill it is back on the heatsink.

Since it's old-ish and you don't really know the history, I'd suggest setting it up somewhere it's easy to get to (on the bench) and let it play for a good while.
