so i finally decided what mid and tweeter to go with, and i do have 9" woofers to go along with them but i feel like i should go with 12"...
I got a chance to get pair of those AudioTechnology for pretty nice price
.
I have seen this woofer used in projects that uses ATC mids, and my mid is pretty similar (Morel MDM85), you guys know any kits that uses this woofer? (please ready kits only, i dont have the knowledge for designing myself)

Your parenthetical disqualifies your driver picks. Your mission is limited to kit picking (kit here means c/o, enclosure (flat pack) and specific set of drivers that work together.

N.B. Typical flex-units run 400 USD Each. If the price is right then buy them and take the risk that you can copy a system that uses them.

thanks.

since i opened the thread the seller (who sales the woofers) helped me understand certain things about buying those 12", and he can help me with the port and cabinet (which will be about 110liter)
i will cross it at 500hz with the mids, and i got the crossover ready for that.

so this goes down to "is this worth it" classic question, still 900$ for woofers isnt cheap at all...

so guys, should i buy it, or i got better options ( second hand is not a problem)

I don't think there is need for 12" overpriced woofers as opposed to the 9" range, I presume Morel? Your woofers probably have enough decent capabilities and the cabinet will look more elegant with these. I have a similar setup. Can you name the rest of it?

looks doesnt matter to me, i dont even plan to paint the cabinet (will use MDF).
im talking about the sound, nothing more.

Bel Canto dac2 (old but gold)
Onkyo A925\Nec A11
the speakers will be= MDT32, MDM85, the woofers i cant remember the model (i already got the woofers) but its the same as the MW220 just better.

i know the amp is not very capable but i will change it one day for sure.

what is your speakers?
and do you have experience with the AT woofer that you say its overpriced?

I have my own developed 3 way using Dynaudio 24W75, D52AF and D28/2.

When you say "Have you experience with AT" you "imply" that these speakers are different to work with. The same rules of speaker design apply. They have deeper bass capabilities, different sensitivity and impedance which means slightly different XO values will be needed for the same kind of voicing along with larger cabinet and vent tuning than a smaller diameter woofer of any other make and model. Room does much at altering how bass sounds, so some care should be invested in speaker placement, and box tuning. That's important. And no, I haven't worked with AT.

Onkyo seems very decent, so much that you can damage your hearing alright, if you only try:smash:. 80W/8 and 120W/4 ohm is standard quality power supply in commercial products. Fair enough.

The decision is entirely yours. Whatever makes you happy.

AT Flex Units are excellent drivers. See if TG will give you some pointers. Here are some potential candidate designs of his to follow.

thanks, though he uses 55-65liter cabinet, and they go down to 40HZ as far as i could see, i want the bass to go down to 30HZ~

His email address is posted on the URL I last gave you. Tell him what you want to do and see if he will help you. He has the specific driver experience you are looking for. The system alignment you use is dependent on driver [Qts] and [Fs]. If you want it low with a small foot print, use servo-controlled sub such as that provided by Rythmik and c/o to your satellites at say 80 Hz http://www.rythmikaudio.com/ WHG
