Hey guys, I have a 24xs that started popping off and on. It turned off and on about 7 or 8 times, and then turned off for good. I opened the case and found that the power/remote/ground connector was loose on the board. I re soldered the connections and reassembled, but still no power.
Does anyone have any suggestions how to proceed from here?

Here's one from the top. Of course the OP needs to post the actual unit as it might have signs of damage.
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
My thought was that since it was popping on and off and then quit all within about 20 min, that maybe one of the capacitors next in line after the ground/remote / 12v pins may have popped. Is this a possibility? Look at the discoloration/smudge on the bottom of the board near the capacitor in line with the ground pin. Would this be a good starting place? Would radio shack be a suitable parts resource?
Thank you for your help.
