I've got two 1:50 Amplimo tranformators from somebody. There is also a HV bias unit from Audiostatic with it.
But I think this 1:50 will not really drive a full range ESL.....
What do you think?

Full power frequency starts @ 50 Hz 1.4*35=50Hz. 50W @4 Ohm equals 14 V RMS thus 700 V RMS Secondary. However @ 100 Hz it will provide 1400 V RMS and 3000 V RMS @ 200 Hz and so on till the insulation breakdown. The latter is not stated in datasheet though. Whether or not it will do for full range really depends on stator spacing.

I believe the lower 1:50 step up ratio of this ESL transformer is more suited for larger size panel with a 1nF to 2.5nF capacitance.
The frequency range at load with a 2.5nF panel will run up to 30KHz with a 50~100W RMS amplifier.
