Hi,
These Mosfets are used in the Power supply: 80N08A N-Mosfet.
I can't find the 80N08A anymore.
I used the 80N08S2L-07 but it don't works. I think the reason is the lower Gate threshold voltage. The other parameter are similar except "Rds on" , is lower too.
Maybe the 80N08S4-06 works?
Anybody an idea for replacement?

What do you mean by 'don't work'?
Please (and this applies to anyone who needs repair help) use your sig line to list all equipment you have, editing it as equipment changes. Include the model numbers.
Top of page, menu USER CP >> EDIT SIGNATURE
Oscilloscope (yes or no)
Multimeter(s)
Type of signal source (grounded RCA shields preferred).
Soldering iron
Desoldering pump
Power supply
2 ohm current limiting resistor (hollow cylindrical ceramic 100w preferred)

Thanks Perry for fast answer.
I have all of the equipment and will soon change my signature.
I think my english is not good enough to explain it very well 🙁
Only one original Mosfet blowed up. When I turn on the amplifier with original Power supply Mosfets (1 Mosfet each Bank) the amp works fine. Square wave from Tl494, no DC on output, rail voltage fine etc.
When I use the 80N08S2L-07 the square wave collapses and the idle current rises continuously.

That's likely because the drive circuit can't pull the drive circuit down far enough to switch them completely off. The drive circuit could be damaged but normal drive circuits only need to pull the drive to about 2v. Do you have any other FETs that you could try?
Drive waveform photo when loading the FET location G-S with something like a 0,047uF capacitor?

The STI76NF75 doesn't work.
Audio system recommends this type, strange.
I tested a few other N Mosfets and the IRF2807zpbf works very well.
Bench test passed.

With the STI Mosfets, the power supply was in the current limiting range.
Saquare wave didn't build up properly, more like sawtooth.
After changing the mosfets, the amplifier works properly.
When testing all functions, I found a bad connection between Tl494 Pin5 and the associated capacitor. The mistake only came from time to time. Maybe that's why the STI didn't work. In any case, it works perfectly with the IRF.

The bad connection could have caused the frequency to be far higher than normal and could have caused problems, no matter what FET was used. It's good that you found it on the bench, before it was returned to the owner.
