Ok so I was looking around the net and found this meter. It says that indicates when a speaker is overloaded. I get that part but how would I calabrate it to make it show overload when I hear distortion? How does it hook up? Would it just run in series with the speaker? Does anyone have a good picture of where this type of meter would look like? I cant really tell what the face looks like. Here is a link to it http://www.goldmine-elec-products.com/prodinfo.asp?number=G3301&variation=&aitem=5&mitem=10

Well it seems like you run it in parallel with the speaker, but you must use a potentiometer to adjust the current. Sensivity between 0-10 milliamps so I guess you'll need a 1kohms or 10kohms potentiometer to limit the current.

This is only a guess.
