Sennheiser has a product like this too.
Rather a smart idea, it uses ultrasound and the nonlinearity of air at extreme sound pressure levels (~140 dB). One should not expect extreme directivity in ordinary sized rooms, though, the beam is still reflected on the walls and will hit you eventually.

Hi, yeah... I'm currently working on the audio beam loudspeakers now. I also have the commerical product from ATC(H460). Intending to carry out some measurements on the sound parameters, freq response and etc on the H460..
Any idea which software is good for recording? particularly on user friendly and robust controls:
1. adobe audtion
2.NI lab view
3. win MLS.
Im currently leaning towards labview...any opinions?

Looks like "class D speaker".
LOL! Yeah, kinda, sorta. That's what got me interested in Class-D amps back in the late 80s. Wanted to drive an array like that. I never could make it work. =(
It seems like the driver needs to be an ultrasonic driver.LOL! Yeah, kinda, sorta. That's what got me interested in Class-D amps back in the late 80s. Wanted to drive an array like that. I never could make it work. =(
Are you sure it actually beams? Doen't look like it from the response.Ultrasonic beam speaker.
