Well it's about time! 😀

Seriously, a huge step for our species. And Voyager was launched, what - 20 years after Sputnik? Crazy.

one of the papers carried an article on how NASA had figured out how to reprogram the 8-track tape (remember your TRS80) for much more compact code and much better data acquisition. some of the folks doing the programming were in their late 70's!

I admire what has to be done with such limited power, memory and resources aboard spacecraft. That craftsmanship!
