This may be a very simple one to most on here but I am new to all this so please have patience.
I have 20db gain in my tpa3255 amp and driving FR speakers of 91db I get some hiss ....music playing but at low level passes. No hiss with no music.
Playing through drivers of 88db (TB W3-871b) they are much quieter but I prefer the overall sound of the 91db ( Faital 3fe22).
Is it as simple as adding an R inline to the speaker input to Lower this hiss...or will this also lower the sparkle of the highs that I like of the 3fe22?
I do have an LCR on the +ve to each speaker....I think this is BSC.
Regards
James

I wonder if the mods could move this to the class d section? Many helpful and knowledgable people there.
An L-pad would be a better option, as it ensures that the loudspeaker still is driven by a reasonably low impedance source.
