Well the atlas is built up, and wow, i didnt think bass could sound so smooth, even, or overpowering. at 6 db lower than usual the sub sounds louder. And i definately got low end extension( all the way to 10hz, as low as my signal generator goes)

Also with the new upgrade it makes em realise how thin on bass y mains are. so i gues i have a new project 😀

But to anyone whos deciding weather to pull the trigger on an atlas 15, do it, the sub is fantastic.

I havn't done any movie ests yet, but march break awaits, meaning so does underworld, AVP, and van helsing at my local video store!

And finally a very heartfelt and honest thanks to all the members of this board who helped me along, even though i used to think a 10db hump at 40hz sounded awesome!

Thanks all!

ahh looks liek the testing and calibration proscess will be delayed becuase my mom finds a less than 40 db bass peak level downstairs"obstructive" "intrusive" and "damaging toward her disposition".

But what i have tested it with so far was the whole dark side of the moon album.

I was listening at a 75 db average, with bass peaks higher (subwoofer is running 0db hot) and the subwoofer didnt move more than 2mm throughout the whole thing, the beginning of "time" was the only time that the woofer moved that much too.

right now i have the woofer crossed over at 100 hz, due to the lack of any kind of bass on my mains. Surprisingly the subwoofer plays very controlled here(i could really tell during "money", which has a very punch bass line)

I love this thing the more i play it, and it makes my sub par mains REALLY stand out.

Now i have a choice, 5.1 reciever, or new mains? pleaase give your opinion!

"fyi, the Seas Lotus SW300's are notably smoother then the Atlas 12's. --both awesome sounding subs either way..."

JFYI its a 15":smash:
Anyways Im looking forward to buying one myself and this thread is just making me twitchy thinking of ways to get some cash.😎
