Anyhow I was bored today and started going through some of my old saved files from the internet's early years. Attached are a few that somehow survived into 2010. Of particular interest is the first discussions of the 6C33C triode and someone who claims 200 watts of SE power from an Eimac Y831. Enjoy.

My wife is currently about 70 miles south west of Pittsburgh. She has been emailing me pictures of "Snowmageddon" all day. I replied with a picture of me in the swimming pool after mowing the lawn. She was not amused!
I read your included articles. I think I have at least one of each of the various 6L6 types mentioned including the double section 5932. When I can find them all and get them all in one place I can do some testing and take some pictures. The tubes in my Tubelab SE are now over 80 years old and they still work just fine, even with just a little bit of spec bending.
200 watts out of a SE amp I can believe since I have done it with an 833A, but 20 watts in OTL from a 20 volt supply? Not possible, even with a 4 ohm speaker and mosfets!
Off Topic but:
A lot of the young US speedskaters went to an important meet South of Washington DC this weekend. The event had to be canceled when the roof of the rink collapsed under 22 inches of snow! Everyone was out of the building before the collapse.
