For digital circuits it is important that the supply maintains a low impedance at RF frequencies; this is helpful for analogue but less important. Digital supplies may (possibly - depends on application) be less critical about hum/ripple. A perfect supply (zero noise/hum, zero impedance at all frequencies) would be ideal for both.
