Architecture of Old One Panel projectors

Have somebody seen, how this older single panel projectors are constructed? Are there any mirrors to shorten case's dimensions? I tried to get any information (pics, schematics) on that but no avail.
Who knows someting about that? I'm thinking about redisign my actual LCD/OHP set for a more compact shape.
