arcam problems

There are lots of things that could account for it stopping. But I would guess the protection circuitry is being triggered by something as you dont mention it producing an annoying noise out of the offending channel im guessing its not producing any sound at all. This could be a fuse blowing or output circuitry getting destroyed. Really there can only be speculation as to what it could be at this point because we do not have any information to make any kind of diagnosis.

If you do not have any kind of skill at electronics then I wouldnt recommend poking fingers into the amp when its turned on, which is most of the time what it requires to hunt down a serious problem, output trannies blowing or fuses getting destroyed can easily be diagnosed with a multimeter, if you have one.

If you dont have any technical knowledge at all about the insides of electronics equipment I would just recommend getting the amp serviced by arcam.
