I'm afraid the subject may be a little misleading, as I gather it is a complicated procedure...but here goes anyway.
I want to start using my PC as a digital source with a USB to S/PDIF converter into the DAC of my Arcam Alpha 8 CD player (whose transport is making weird resonance-type noises) and then through my Mission Cyrus Two amp w/PSX. I understand that the S/PDIF signal comes out in the form of a coax cable, but from there I'm a bit stumped! I want to get it right, but am struggling to find the right sort of info that will help me to understand and perform this procedure. Can you point me in the right direction of a thread or a book, or maybe a website please? I have tried searching on here, but there is just so much stuff to get through it's proving rather fruitless so far!
