I have taken my Arcam Alpha plus cdp out of storage . Connected to the Audio Note Cobra Integrated amp with AN speakers. I’m enjoying the combo but believe my Arcam needs new caps and service. I am in neeed if the Schematic for my plan. Web site comes up with info on Arcam Cd 5. Not plus version. The difference is only in the circuit of the clock generator. I guess that means I must get the schematic for the PLUS version Please help. I would appreciate any further advice on mods.
Sounds dull. Bass not as tight. Overall not as I know it. Maybe I should just get the Audio note, Or Cambridge Audio or Audiolab cdt 9000 transport and use coax to connect to my Audio note Cobra. But I still believe that the TDA 1541 in my Arcam plus is better than the TDA 1543 in the Cobra. And maybe the implementation is better in the stand alone cd player. Then again maybe a separate dedicated cd transport is better. More questions than answers
