series X-over
C1 looks too big to have any useful cut-off for the tweeter; must be for a Zobel on the woofer? (but this would normally be connected to the other end of L2)

howdy,
i am currently using two versions of this x-over. one is a 2.5 way and the other is a two way, with no cap. i really like the sound, although, i wish i could add the cap back in the 2-way, it is a little straining on my tweets. but the 2.5 app is really nice, very full and smooth sounding with great impact. i replaced a high quality parallel 2.5 x-over with the series, it seems to "behave" a little better, seems to give a smoother sound without comprimising detail.
just my 2-cents worth
equip:
amp Pass Labs Aleph 5 clone
pre Electronic Tonalities Foreplay tube
spkrs Geers eVe II clones with Hiquphon tweets, Vifa P13, and SS W21 wooof.
Love the system!
cheers,
scott

C1 has to do with limiting power to resistor and also making load a bit easier to drive.
sriegel...love to see pics on your speakers.

Navin,
the pics of my speakers can be found at the pass DIY site in their gallery section under Aleph 5. it's a single-chassis amp as the main pic, sorry i can't be more concise.
they are still unfinished, haven't decided on what kind of veneer to put on them, and the time!!!
thinking about selling them to start a new pair, not too sure yet. i LOVE these speakers, but i'm interested in trying a transmission line next, hmmmm the possibilities.
Cheers,
scott
