Has anyone successfully upgraded the TL072 op-amps in the Apt Holman Pre-Amp with something new and improved? About ten years ago I tried using AD712 and OPA275.......both had negative effects on the circuit; there were load pops when any signal switch was deployed. I called Tom Holman, and though he had no advice to give regarding a better op-amp, he did mention that the way he used the TL072 in the pre-amp made substitutions problematic.
So....has anyone found a better device that works?
