I’m about to buy parts for my first two electronics projects -
Two P2P ‘gainclone’ amps, based on the LM 3886 & TDA 7293 datasheets
I’m going to prototype the two amps, with interchangeable power supplies, before replicating in a three-way part dipole active. (I know a guy doing the LM3875, and we’re going to compare, but I don’t want to burden him with more newbie questions).
Some parts (eg feedback resistors) I have answers for or worked out.
But others, when I look in the array of catalogues of vendors (I found through searching for recommendations here), and read the odd electronics 101article, I have almost no idea of the difference *in appropriate application* for:
axial/
electrolytic/
bipolar/
nonpolar
polypropylene/
surface mount etc:
- So for the components below – which is best??
*Please suggest* the best type of components, and a lesser priority also brands, for these :
LM 3886 (Non-inverting, per the datasheet) resistors:
Inverting input resistance (Ri)
preventing current entering non-inverting input (Rb)
frequencies to short out R & pass signals to the load (Rl)
TDA 7293
R1 Input resistor
R2 & R3 Closed lop gain
R4 ST-by time constant
R5 Mute
C1 Input DC coupling
C2 Feedback DC coupling
C3 Mute time constant
C4 ST-by time constant
C5 Bootstrapping
C6-9 Supply voltage bypass 😕
On another note:
I went to Digikey to look at Panasonic FC; usually I found minimum order quantities of 10.
Any suggested suppliers for good mid-range parts with no MOQ??
Your advice is appreciated!
Happy Christmas
Richard

Come on
I don’t mind if you state the obvious – please help:
(Apart from eg Vishay/ Caddock from eg Percy Audio for feedback resistors) -
what sort (eg bipolar? axial?
) of resistors and capacitors have you guys used for the other parts, eg Feedback DC coupling - in any chip amps??
Thanks
Newbie
