Hey everyone... i am just geting into the diy scene and i had a couple of questions... yesterday i was able to order an apollo 60 by 60 screen from staples on clearance for 12.50... normally $109.. i was just wondering if you guys had any idea of how this setup would perform

-Sharp QA-1200 640by480 panel
-Apollo 2206 OHP (4,000) lumens
-ATI Tv tuner card
-Apollo 60by60 screen

If anyone has a 1200 and cares to comment about it that would be great, and if so what one would you guys recommened without spending a large amount of money... any help would be great thanks

this panel is AMAZING! i have no problems whatsoever in the visual quality of this beast. its fast quiet and has GREAT pictures, whites are white blacks are black, this is also due to the power of my OHP **roughly 8000 lumens**

great panel i dont see ANY thing wrong that alot of ppl have been talkin about with thier panel.

well Your QA-1200 is a damn nice panel .. it is one of the later models available ...
the QA-1200 and QA-2500 (QA-2500 is one of the best panel out there) ... they were released by Sharp at the same time, the 1200 being a cheaper model of the 2500, a smaller LCD / less colors / lower resolution, but Same Contrast ratio (150:1) and if memory serves correct same response time.

thanks guys for the input... i got the panel yesterday and the power adapter was SHOT. Luckly i was able to go to radioshack today and get a new regulated power supply and the panel works now!!!! i tested it out with my dvd player and the quality is great. Cant wait to get my OHP (apollo 2206) tomorrow to get the whole setup going... i paid 78 bucks for it from ebay, but was extremley disappointed in the seller because of the dead power supply and the 50 bucks i had to invest in a new one 🙁 oh well at least it works now and i can complete my project..
