Bp1fan,
You should download AkAbak - it is not that hard to use. The script I posted earlier should get you started on a 6th order BP. Adding a vent between the two chambers is just another line or two of code. HR is a wonderful program - especially the interactive speaker wiz for tweaking an initial design on a tapped horn. But you quickly run out of segments or interconnects if you want to try something unusual.

I downloaded Akabak years ago. I never really played with it. The simplicity and accuracy of HR has kept me away from other modeling software. I don't really need that many segments to model since I would build a 7 board 3 segment TH (positive, straight, or negative flare) before I would build a multi board BP6 or BP8.

You can convert between passive radiator and port by taking the SA of the port = SA of the passive radiator. Mass of the radiator = mass of the air inside the port.

A port is an RL circuit model. A passive radiator circuit model is an RLC. They behave differently. All else being equal, you can get lower tuning in a smaller amount of space with a passive radiator. The price is group delay.
