Anyone trysharp cutoff pentodes in a p-p output stage?
Just wondered if anyone has tinkered with the idea. I was considering wiring up some 6au6's or something like that in p-p class A just for kicks. I thought if anyone had a circuit, it would save me some load line math.

All sharp cutoff means is that the type is linear. Remote cutoff, which indicates variable gain, is to be avoided.
Power O/P from 6AU6s will be LOW. Take a look at the data sheet for the 7054. The 7054 is a 12 V. only heater automotive variant of the 12BY7.

oops... I should have said "signal pentodes" like EF184, 6au6, EF86, etc.
