Hello
From Humblecapactior website they seem nice and neutral which I like and also the compactness of them will fit better in my Technics SU-V9 phonostage - Currently using 2uf CDE 940c caps.

My speaker crossovers are done in Superior Z cap which i find is very good.

As with new products, like hear more thoughts on the Alumen cap:violin:

I've not tried the Alumen caps, but I have tried and liked both the Superior and Silver caps. What I don't like is the voltage rating of the Alumen caps. With the AC signal in a capacitor being +/-VAC, the total voltage can be double the single swing. For this reason 250V caps are really the lowest VAC that should be recommended for speakers due to transients in music and resultant crest factors and therefore- voltages.

That said- I prefer the Silver to the Superior, so I don't always agree with Tony's sentiments.

If it says audio cap its a rip off. Real cap manufacturers make caps that are just as good at a fraction of the price and they dont make up marketing BS like one cap sounds brighter ( has more high frequincies ) than another.

Not nesseceraly. Im saying any component ( except maybe audio ICs ) that say audio ( resitors, caps, transitors, ) raises red flags and almost always the price. And often the quality is worse. Its marketing BS. For your application those electrolytics ( the worst kind of cap) might be replaced with a better non electrolytics ( like polypropilyn). The values are small enough but i dont know if you have the space. Might not make any differenc but it wont make it worse.

At this moment I have Jantzen Superior Z-Cap at the high pass filter and really hard to beat them is sound / price performance. The sound is very spatious and neutral with a rich detail that easy to listen to no matter how many hours. I would try the Jantzen Alumen Z-Cap, probably even more airy, spacious and has a bit more detail but bothering me the "only" rated 100VDC comparing with the Superior's 800VDC. Anyone has any opinion about the Alumen Z-Cap? Worth to try it (after 4 years) or better staying with the Superior Z-Cap?

Using the AlumenZ for the tweeter in my OBL15. Happy with the sound.
Tweeter energy seemed muted a bit for a long time say 100hours which I attributed to the cap burnin.

Thanks for the info. Would it be a step up over the Superior? If yes what can be the difference between them? Otherwise we are very very satisfied with the Superior but you know the human is so curious until you don't try something new🙂
