A translation of post #15 is:

"Assuming the measurements Speekergeek gave were for outside dimensions, with 1/2" material I just subracted an inch from each measurement. This left me with an internal box volume of 0.355 Cu Ft, (10 liters).

A woofer hole* of 2.5" x 7" by .75" deep tunes the box to 175 Hz. I cannot imagine any design tuning that high." Unquote.

*"woofer hole" should have read "cutout hole in the back". Sorry.

I used Windows 98 SE character map for Times New Roman to write the fractions. I guess that does not come thru on Macs.

This is the "+ or - " sign ± .
This is the division signe-one horizontal bar with a dot above and below it. Does that come through as well? ¸

The 1st one works, the 2nd one, the comma but in symbol, is a comma under mac iso and something else (top of a bracket?) under Windows iso.

÷ divided sign dragged in from Font Book/shows up on my Mac properly under Windows iso encoding.
