First I would ike to say,WOW, you guys do know your stuff. I was ready to buy a projection tv and now after looking at some of the result from the home built set up I am very impressed and ready to assemble my own! I'm amazed at the level of know how and laugh at what you guys have come up with at a fraction of the cost. It's like building your own Mercedes for a go-cart price 😀
The project I would like to do is have the image on the ceiling. Has anyone done this yet? I was ready from a plasma screen on the ceiling but the life span and cost of a plasma is dissapointing. I was considering a LCD or DLP projector but the idea of replacing a $500 bulb a couple of times a years was not very appealing.
Any help will be appreciated and thanks for a great site, I have more reading to do!

I have projected onto the cieling, but there are some obstacles that you must be ready to consider. 1 Problem is that you most likely want to be able to be directly under the part of the cieling which you are projecting onto. This means that the projector can't be there, which causes problems. You will need to project from an angle and adjust for the keystone effects. ( a trapazoidal picture) This isn't too big of a problem, but can be if you are not ready for it. Other than that, You should be fine. I did it before when I had my OHP and I would just adjust the mirror. It would create a huge keystone artifact, but if I adjusted the optics it kinda worked... The picture was still brighter on the side closer to the prpjector... Gonna be kinda difficult to fix that.
Sounds like a plan
