Anyone modded a Quad 66?

If so what have tried and what was the effect on the sound?
Will caps other than SMD fit on the DAC?
Does rolling opamps make much difference?
Any other mods tried?

Opamps can make a quite a difference depending on what is fitted and how it is used.

The Quad CD66 uses a standard Philips board and cdm (CD371??). The main difference is the display.

So, a great mod is to supply the SAA7220 chip with its own +5v supply with a regulator very close to the chip.
