Just curious, I just got a 15 inch lcd and made it into a flat screen tv and Im not sure whats better the crt tv( new as of last year) or the lcd monitor( 450-1) the both look good but isnt the crt like thousands to 1????? Just curious, Oh the side note having a lcd tv makes me feel so special( damn maybe my friend would trade me for his plasma...........wait his allready has burn in, OOps hopefully technology will progress so burn in isnt common place on Plasmas someday( like how projection, big screen tv's used to be)😕 😀
The CRT should be thousands to one..I'm not sure of the exact number, but considering that CRTs can just display nothing..which means no light..that means that it would be hecka high.

I "THINK" its 1000/1 ratio. Dark can only get so dark......and not gain anything(contrast) but only start to dim colors after that point.

i've read at avsforum(dot)com that a crt tv/monitor can have a contrast of 10,000:1
1000:1 is what a good plasma has
1000:1 is what a good plasma has
