I'm looking for info about this turn table and tonearm. I bought this TT today for 50.00, and I am wondering if it is a quality TT worth fixing up or if the tonearm is worth owning. The guy said I could return it if it didnt work. It does seem to work well with the exception of a slight hum in the right channel.

Well worth seeing what you can get out of it... there is a whole set of "enthusiasts" that are working on Empire TTs.
Arm is Japanese. CEC, Lustre, Jelco, Audio Technica... (probably worth the $50 by itself)

It's an Empire 208 turntable and the tonearm is not stock. Probably a Japanese made arm, which looks really nice and fits the stock mounting area almost perfectly. Probably sounds better than the stock arm. The turntable and tonearm are in excellent condition and, for $50, it's a steal! Congrats!
