Curious if anyone's heard of this driver. Not much comes up on searches and know some of the Celestions performed admirably in the past. I presume it's a 1.4" diaphragm and it's a 1" exit... Is that about all I can deduce from the part name?
Any help, or clarifying would be much appreciated.

I cant find that particular one but yes the naming convention indicate a 1" exit (CDX1) and a 1,4" voice coil (14). The last two numbers I believe indicate power factor, diaphragm type or whether its a screw-on or not so this one is probably somewhere around 10-20watts and a bolt.
I think this is the closest:
Celestion CDX1-1440 Compression Driver - Ferrite
I haven't listened to any of these yet but I'm sure they are OK for the price; these are the cheaper ranges usable in smaller two ways or three ways as a super tweeter from 3-4kHz or more in PA to compliment a mid horn/midrange. For home use you can probably cut at 2kHz.
