Can be passive or active, solid state or tube - open to ideas here. I am looking to build something similar to the expensive DJ isolators (e.g. the dope real model 3300, the Bozak iso-x and the electronique spectacle units), although, if I'm going to make it from scratch and it's feasible, I'd like to adding some parametric flexibility (even if it's discreet rather than continuous).
Not massively fussed about boosting frequencies and I have enough gain in my system to also not care about losing some in a passive circuit. I do really want to have full (or at least virtually full) cut.

hope it's not too early to bump...nothing in the rules about it so not sure what the accepted practice is...
Can I add to this - If someone knows of a decent sounding, commercially available 3 or 4-band EQ that cuts all the way down to kill, is not huge and doesn't cost more than £200 ($300-$350) new or second hand, would equally appreciate the suggestion. Parametric capabilities are always a nice bonus.
thanks
