One of Mine has a red bar going vertical through the screen, I tested the electronics with another panel( lcd) and it worked fine so basically I just need the LCD portion and I thought I would ask around here if anyone had a dead panel that I could Buy. Thanks again

Proxima 822 problems

I got my panel today and hooked it up and I cannot get it to configure to 2 million colors. My highest choice is 24000+ colors. Any ideas? with it at 24000 +colors it is really pixelated. I am hooking it up using the composite RCA hookup directly into my DVD player. Do you think that maybe if I used the s video portion of it that it might be better? Let me know if anyone has exprienced this.

Thanks a million I really would like to show my wife something better then this that I spent too much money on.

hey JEvans, Hummmmm have you tried to switch the colors in the menu? I tried that and It worked, I would say try all the Inputs and see what happens. I will keep thinking but Im sorry I cant be of much more help. Someone here prob has more Ideas.

proxima display

Yes I tried to switch display settings and it will only display 24389 and 3373(or something like that) and 8. I have tried the composite rca and the VGA cable to a laptop with a dvd player same results. I hope I did not get burned. anyone have any ideas?? Video does your panel actually say 2000000 colors?

I contacted Proxima they seem to think that the 24000 colors it is a software issue. They dont have a copy of it and neither doa number of other places including projectordr.com which is the company that replaced proxima. and none of them have the software. I guess this is just a loss cause. Let me know if anyone on here has something that might make this panel work.

Hey VF,
How did you test your electronics portion of your 822C? I have one that powers up and shows the Ovation startup screen and menus, but doesn't display anything from the inputs (Composite, S-Video...). I had to make a power supply from an old AT PS... If I can't get this panel fixed I'll have to sell it as junk...

Thanks,
