Hey ... just curious .. is anyone working on a OHP LCD project from the town that I live ? 🙂 .. I'd really love to see a live showing of the end result of grabbin' this stuff off ebay or insolv-inc ... 🙂 .. let me know
Thanks,
Thanks,
I'm from Ottawa, an electrical engineering student at the UofO. I'm not working on a video projector though, but I am working on some amps. I tried to build a projector once but it was the kind that consists of a freznel lenz and a tv and a box. It didn't work though, too blurry, need to put more light absorbing material in the box.
Anyways, good to see DIYers in ottawa!

Hey Pete 🙂 .... well I've finally decided to start on the video projector, I'll be going the OHP route
Sounds great, whats the basic philosophy behind that?
You just get an overhead projector like they use in classrooms, an LCD screen, and enclose the one on the other?

Well yeah basically ... did you ever goto college / university like 6-8 years ago and take computer courses ? .. remember how they had LCD panels on the OHP showing that shows the computer screen .. I'll be doing that ..... *shug* ...
Planning on getting a 7300 Lumens OHP
and either a sharp qa-1200 or qa-2500
possible a different overhead LCD but those are the two I've done my research on.

Everyone at my school steals them, at least according to the signs they put up all over campus. Its really annoying because you would figure that if you can make it to university, you can figure out how to build one yourself instead of stealing them and wasting our tuition money.
