An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Looks like something trying to make the best of point source.
And I take it all those rings (textured thin ones) are surrounds, seperating the various drivers. Anyways they look super intriging and was wondering if their anygood.

Vas 8.82L for a 6" driver

Thats the good part, no box necessary😉
I contacted Steve(?) at Apex about these for further info but what is on the website is it as far as info. If they were cheaper I would have bought a pair to experiment with.
Some of those unusual japanese drivers make some real good sound. I remember about 10 - 12 years ago some flat, square Sony drivers that were real nice.

fs is quite high with 63 Hz and because efficiency is only proportional to 1/Qes it is also proportional to fs^3 which will compensate for this and also for the Vas related part of efficiency.

BTW: the low VAS (if this is really true) makes an "infinite" box quite small.

There is one detail I don't like about this driver: Foam suspensions.
