Anyone else looked at these higher-end-ish bt APT-X modules?

I sort of want to add a bluetooth receiver to the 10-year-old but still perfectly decent dvd/nav receiver in my land cruiser.

Initially i tried a cheap a2dp receiver that has an internal lithium battery and mini-usb for charging.

It works but the audio quality is aggressively meh.

I know that bt audio will never be great but sometimes, like with audiobooks, it only needs to be reasonably good.

So i was looking at apt-x boards and came across ebay item number 191579069810.

It arrived in a week. Must be a fluke. The board i received is marked ln-bt12 v4.0 and the back of the board has a big "lanny" logo but that has led me nowhere.

Has an aux input that appears to be wired through the relay on the edge of the board. I haven't hooked up power yet but my guess is that when this device is not powered, the aux input is wired directly to the output.

Power input is marked 10v-30v dc. There appear to be linear regulators for 5.0v and 3.3v, as well as an so-8 lm317 that i am guessing is doing current source duty for the microphone input.

output section has an so-8 Ti ne5532. Might try something a little faster in that spot. Unless it sounds ok as-is, I guess. And i will have to verify the power supply to the opamp with a ~12-14v lead-acid power source, but the values of the larger capacitors make it appear that there is a split rail supply.

Hi! I also search APT-x module into my car. I has stopped at ebay item number 191579069810 (yours) and as alternative I have found item 131574530311.
About item 131574530311 on russian sites I found some information:
1. This item uses chip DRV632 and it play "knok" sound from speakers when BT connected device stops playing or pause it.
2. At BT device pauses or stops playing, item sounding white noise.
3. Sound quality is good, but there is no NE5532, "aux out" is connected directly to CSR8645.
4. Chip DRV532 only disable passthrought "aux in" into "aux out", so you can connect another device to "aux in" and listen music from it, when no BT-device is connected or BT-device is connected, but stops playing.
5. Characteristics of devices is confuse me. At 191579069810 frequency fesponse 60Hz ~ 23KHz, and at 131574530311 is declared: 20Hz-22kHz.

What can you say about your item? Does it has any problems?

So far i only tested it with a loose 12.6v sealed lead-acid battery pack and a pair of headphones.

There is no noise made when bt connects or disconnects.

No white noise or buzzing or hum in the silence but that noise can come from the power source or electromagnetic interference when installing in a car.

The relay on this board physically switches between aux in and bt audio. Not just when connecting or disconnecting but also when bt audio is stopped or paused. When no power is applied to the board, aux in is wired to out.

This works very well and there is no switching noise.

Buttons are prev - play/pause -next and work fine to control my android phone.

It has mic input and comes with a small mic but i have not tested it. The bluetooth does connect both media audio and call audio. I am hoping it will work for hands-free in the car.
