Is anyone crazy enough to buy a $1500 lcd hdtv (like a 10 incher) and ripping it apart and putting it on an OHP? I wanna know if it is a smart idea. If it would work, i think i will wait untill they drop in price...
For that price why not buy an xga, or even sxga lcd projector... I think HDTV would look kind of crapy being projectoed with an oph anyway. Thats my opinion.
not only is it expensive but notnso useful since whateer source you have does not have such high detail, and you wouldn't be able to take advantage of its possibilities in terms of pixel definition. beside waiting for the price to drop, we will have to wait for hdtv to become a standard- all broadcasting in the us is scheduled to convert completely by 2006. this means whatever tv u have now that isn't hd/ ready will be nearly useless. you can check out a little discussion ongoing about hdtv- some useful info there: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=9694
