Wow, I have never seen an Electrohome television. I knew they made them in Canada, and I have repaired hundreds of their video monitors for coin-op arcade games. (Some of which were obvious TV chassis with parts not installed.) But that is the first one i ever saw with consumer clothes on.

Picked up this obscure vintage JIL (Jutan International Limited) Citizen Concerto model JCTV 1580 13 inch Color TV off of KIJIJI today for free. Works and looks like new.
Doesnt seem like it was used much. It is a very clean set.
Made in Taiwan.
I cant find any info on it. Not sure the exact year but probably 1982-1987ish.
Seems to resemble an RCA set of that vintage.

Got another freebie today from the local classifieds - 1991 Emerson EC1331 14" Color TV. Made in Korea. From the listing, I had no idea what year it was from or even if it worked ! I had to drive about 40 minutes to get it. Anyways, I brought it back home, cleaned it up and turned it on. Works as it should. :smoke:
I never knew TV sets made in the early 90's still had the knobs on the tuner and woodgrain look as well !
Anyways, here's some pics and a video.

Picked this up at an estate sale for dirt cheap. Works but needs some contact pots cleaned.
1971 Sony CVM-110UA Transistor Video TV Monitor (Made in Japan)
Info: This tv/monitor was a general purpose B&W set used for video productions in the 1970s. Most of the time, it was used in conjunction with reel to reel tape recorders and video cameras. This monitor is very versatile having multiple audio/video inputs/outputs at the back, selection switches and even a VHF tuner to watch Television, so this is pretty much a television and monitor in one!!! The woodgrain vinyl was probably added on by the previous owner as these sets came with a black casing.

Well, I went ahead and took off the fake wood vinyl. Took me less than 5 minutes !
Maybe a blessing in disguise ? Theres no scratches anywhere !
That fake wood vinyl protected it all these years ! 8)

That thing (other than the peeling labels on the back which would never be shown anyway) looks ready for a movie set of the period.
I'm surprised it still says "SOLID STATE." I'm guessing it's a design from years earlier, but manufactured in 1977. I wonder what the last year was with a new product design labeled "Solid State."
ETA: That wall switch in the first photo has GOT to be swapped out!

Does anyone reproduce these labels ?
The wall switch is there for the backyard outdoor porch light.

I bought my first color TV in 1981 - a 19" Quasar which did not mention the fact that it was solid state. Good picture until the RCA made picture tube failed when the set was a year old. (The replacement installed by the authorized Quasar dealer was rebuilt, and was not that great.)
Its replacement purchased some 17yrs a later was a 27" Sony V series set which still works perfectly all these years later - in fact I am watching Top Gear on it right now.. lol (Svideo input from my satellite receiver)

Here's a TV my family has has since new. It used to be my moms.
It is your average run of the mill small black and white 12" RCA TV.
the model is either model AGR120Y or AJR120Y - The labels are missing (fell off)
It is made in Taiwan.
Still has the original manuals.

I remember seeing "Solid State" on some televisions through the late 80's. I always wondered how the CRT was solid state though.I'm surprised it still says "SOLID STATE." Just picked up this nice 1978 Panasonic TR-622C black and white TV.
It is Made in Japan.
Seems like a well built TV. Works well, but need to clean the switches and tuner knobs.
Heres a video of it: 1978 Panasonic TR-622 Black and White TV - YouTube

Managed to find this 1976 Toshiba Blackstripe C355C 13" Color TV.
I Bought it at an estate sale in February 2014. i already have a mint red cabinet of this same set, but I said what the heck ! Too rare to pass up !
It is in real nice shape, a bit yellowed ontop because the owner had a 1980's Samsung cable box on it (which I took as well)
The set also came with the pedestal and owners manual.
Here's a few pics and video.
