anyone build cables here?

I've got a few cables I'd like to make. I've got most of the connectors, just waiting on a pair of xlrs.

1) I'd like to strip the end of one of my Sennheiser cables and add a male balanced xlr plug (4 pins). I have 2 cables that came with the headphones.

2) I have a balanced 2.5mm trrs male connector, and want to connect it to 2x 3pin xlr connectors. (I'm waiting on these xlr connectors).

Just send me a pm. Hopefully you are in the GTA.

Solution for case 2)?

Sorry, I understand your problem now. Yes, tiny 2.5 mm trrs plugs and thin headphone wires are difficult to deal with!

Modifying the headphone cable in case 1) would be relatively easy provided you can tell which internal wire is which. However, you'd be best to purchase a ready made splitter cable for case 2) - like the one that you sourced in your previous thread on the subject.

Which model of Sennheisers have you got?

Thanks. I see that, for fully balanced use of your Sennheisers, you need a male 2.5mm trrs to male 4 pin XLR cable.

Unfortunately, such a cable is hard to find on the market, requiring you to modify the existing male 2.5mm trrs to male 3.5mm trs cable supplied with the headphones.

I hope you can find someone nearby to help you do the fiddly soldering.
