Probably not. What Kay says, strip 1cm of each sleeve and you will find a double wire coming out of some. Take an aspirine (Bayer works great) and hold your iron on both wires until they are tinned. Make shure there's a good solder joint between both wires.
Thanks for reply. Each black sleeves had 2 wires, I had scrapped away the insulation, tinned them, but the resistance is Mega ohm and not zero. Seems like they are not shorted together. I will try and measure them again, thanks for your help again.
